56 The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Clara E. Wilson, Monday afternoon May 17, 1937. Nine members responded to roll-call although ten were present before the meeting closed. Mrs. Carrie B. Fernow was a guest of the club. The secretary gave a report of the last meeting which was approved as read. Plans for the annual luncheon to be held June 7, at the home of Mrs. Erwin were discussed. Mrs. Cecil Seger was welcomed into the club as a new member. The following program was given; Mrs. Wil- son finished her review of the book, The Hurricane. The life and work of Chas. Wakefield Cadman, a composer was re- viewed by Aea B. Price and Mrs. Carrie Reickert reviewed the life and work of Percy Grainger. The club adjourned to meet in three weeks with Mrs. Erwin for the annual club luncheon. Aea B. Price, Secretary.
