83 The Cary Club opened the year's work with a picnic luncheon at the home of Mrs. Clara Wilson Fourteen members and one guest, Mrs Mary Baker, were present. After the luncheon a business meeting was held and the retiring president, Mrs Carrie Reickert, handed the gavel to the new president, Mrs Cecil Seger. Vacation reminiscences were given by the members. Of these, two were especially interesting and outstanding. Mrs. Wilson told of the many places of historic interest in the vicinity of Fairhope, Alabama where she spent last winter and Mrs Fernow gave a resume of her recent auto trip to the South and the West which included visits to the Carlsbad Caverns, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite Valley and Yellowstone Park. The club adjourned to meet Sept. 19th with the Misses Alta & Elva Emerson - Mrs W. S. Winter Sec. Pro tem
