102 May 15-'39 Mrs. O.S. Fernow was hostess to the Cary Club. Nine members responded to roll call with quotations from Ralph Walds Emerson. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Names for membership were pre- sented to be noted on at our next meeting. Mrs. Seger read a sketch of the life of Emerson and quotations from his essays. The treasurer reported $7.46 in the treasury. Current events were discussed by the members. No further business appearing Club adjourned to meet June 5th with Mrs. T. M. Phelps. Mina Woodward, secy. P.J.
