It is given to three lines of work - the suppression of Venereal Disease the suppression of organized vice and dealing in modern ways with illigitimacy. A large part of the interest of the board centers in its dealing with organized vice. They endeavor to show no discrimination between the sexes. While there seems to be an enormous profit in money the girls used in the business do not get the money. The profit appears to be go the men and women who are the third party. The girls procured are usually gotten so early in life that they are mere tools in the hand of older people for getting easy money. no woman deliberately goes into the business of prostitution in her mature years so the whole problem largely resolves its self into a child welfare problem. An educational problem. A problem in character building for the race. Miss Dinahoe is at the service of the welfare workers of the state and should be used to the best advantage while she is here. Mrs. Koch gave the report in Child Welfare. " Pierce " " " " Women in Industry - These were both good reports but not being a short hand reporter the [secretary?] is more or less of a failure. And these reports must be heard to be appreciated. Mrs. Knuston gave a short talk in organizing a district. Moved by Mrs. Pierce and seconded Mrs. Passig that the secretary write to the extension department of the State University and thank them for publications and co-operation they have given the League of Women Voters in state work and in the Nat.
