Board Meeting Iowa League of Women Voters Wednesday Oct 11-1922. Mrs. Florence Pierce - presiding. Board members present. Minutes of the previous board meeting held in Cedar Rapids read corrected and approved. Plans for future work were considered and the Board voted on the following recommendations to be offered to the delegates in Convention. Moved, seconded and carried. that the State President of the League appoint a committee to offer rules and regulations to govern the annual convention business. Mrs. Tomlinson was named as chairman of this committee and Mrs. Ruste the second member. Mrs Ruste's resume of her report for the Child Welfare committee was approved and recomended for adoption by the Convention. Mrs Mayer gave her report on American Citizenship recomending that the I.L.W. Voters take the initiative in calling a conference of delegates from all organizations having American Citizenship or similar committees or programs. After discussion covering the purpose and possibility of organizing all agencies for concerted, effective effort, the recomendation was accepted and ordered presented to the delegate body for action. Mrs Tomlinson presented recomendations for the future program of the Efficiency in Government Com. - said report approved by the Board. Mrs. W.K. Evans gave an outline of work accomplished as chairman for "No More War" campaign which was adopted. The Treasurer reported a balance on hand. Oct 10 - $688.85 - with no outstanding debts except the convention costs and some money to be credited the treasury. On motion the report was accepted and placed on file.
