balance of 1921 makes total balance $688.85. Mrs Passig moved that her report be accepted, seconded. Mrs Hunter asked to give report on the State Primary book. Through the generosity of Governor Kendall and the interest of various groups and individuals we were able to repay the Treasury the $50.Voted to cover the expense of this valuable publication. We have something like fifty of the books left. (Report of Committee on Constitution, Mrs Hunter, Mrs Max Mayer, Miss Flora Dunlap, Mrs I.H. Tomlinson, Mrs Hunter read the constitution before the convention, to be considered Friday.) Mrs Passig, being Treasurer and not to be here Friday suggested that we consider having the treasurer give a bond, the amount of the bond to be decided to on by the Executive Committee. Mrs Passig moved that the treasurer be required to furnish bond, amount to be decided by the Executive Committee. This to be taken up with the constitution. Seconded -- carried. Mrs Ruste... chairman of Child Welfare reported as follows: Just before our last state convention, while the Regional Convention was in session we received the new of the Sheppard - Towner Bill having been passed in the house, previously passed in the Senate. There was great rejoicing and we regarded it as a great Thanksgiving gift to the women and children. Six states had passed to accept their federal quota. To this end the Child Welfare Committee recommends the following; that we pledge ourselves to secure adequate appropriation from the next Legislative Assemble for support of the Sheppard -
