Mrs Ruff moved that the local President be instructed by the State Board to appoint a Chairman of a Bulletin Com. to work for subscriptions and to furnish items of local interest, also advertisements, Mrs Mc Kim seconded the motion. Motion carried. The work of organizing was discussed at length. Board adjourned to Harris Emery's for luncheon and the following subjects were discussed. The convention dates - the second week in Oct suggested. Board attended Polk County League of Women Voters Round table At 3 o'clock Board retired and met in regular session. The question of State Convention dates were again discussed and the second week in Oct on Tues. Wed. & Thursday seemed satisfactory but left at the Presidents discretion. The question of the Revision of the Constitution was discussed. Since Miss Avis Falcott of Ames accepts the Scholarship given to the I.L.W. Voters by Mr Meredith of "successful Farming." to the Colombia University of New York City, when Miss Avis Falcott returns the Board should request that Ames put on a Citizenship School in connection with the I.L.W.Voters. Moved by Mrs Ruff that the copy resolution as presented by Mrs Rose in the morning be adopted by the I.L.W.Voters. Seconded by Mrs Hunter and motion carried.
