Miss Katherine Mayo wrote the book entitled "Justice to All". The father of the hero of her story Judge Hallet of Corydon was present at the dinner. Friday Oct 26, 1923 Mrs Florence H. Koch presided at a "Finance Breakfast" in the Oak Room, Fort Des Moines Hotel to make plans for a Finance Campaign State officers District Directors, League Presidents & Treasurers eligible to attend. Friday, Oct 26 - 1923. Morning Session 9:30 - 11:45 The convention was called to order by the President of the I.L.W.Voters of Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs I.H. Tomlinson. By consent the minutes were postponed till later. Credential Com. reported 41 are entitled to vote. Bylaws were read A motion made by Mrs Gordon Elliott & [illegible] that the By-laws read [illegible] substituted for the present By-laws. Mrs Van Alstine seconded the motion was lost & the motion prevailed to adopt section by section the report was adopted with the following changes. Motion by Mrs E.J. Stason of Sioux City seconded by Mrs Wolf of Charles City to strike out the word special in Sec 1 and 8. Motion prevailed to strike out Sec I, Art VI. Moved by Mrs Mayer that the I.L.W.Voters shall hold an annual Convention, time & place to be determined by the Board of Directors in Oct or Nov. of each year. Seconded by Mrs Mallory of Hampton - Carried. Mrs Mayer moved that Sec. 2 of Art 7 be moved into Art 6, Sec 1 Motion seconded by Mrs Helmik. Carried.
