but the League [must?] be ready to co-operate with the other organizations should any matter needing action arise. Also that the council support proposed legislation in relation to the building of our Educational Building at the state Fair Grounds should it be presented. Women in Industry Committtee recoommended that the League of Women Voters support any legislation for the [protection?], health and welfare of women in Industry. Dr. [Habenicht?] recommended that we study the [illegible] Iowa in relation to Social Hygiene in Iowa, especially the Maternity and Infancy [act?] This [report?] was then held in regard to the Child Labor Amendment. This discussion was led by Mrs. Parker but resulted in no action. After a report from Dr. Elizabeth Hoyt, the following motion was made by Mrs. Smith and seconded by Mrs. [illegible]: - (Dr. Hoyt be requested to ask Mrs. Allen to [illegible] the Young Voters and ask each member to learn one part of the play "The Family takes Notice" and see that it is put on in the home community during Christmas vacation and to further pledge that she will secure from [persons?] to [present?] the [played?] to all kind of groups in the immediate vicinity - motion carried.
