Ladies Fingers. 1/2 pound powdered sugar 1/4 " flour 4 eggs yolks and whites separate and beaten very stiff 1 lemon all the juice and half the grated rind - drop upon buttered paper in long narrow cakes. The oven should be very quick and the cakes a light brown. Brighton Biscuit. 1/2 pound of butter 1 " " sugar - well worked together - 3 eggs well beaten 2 pounds of flour 1/2 teaspoonful soda. Roll very thin Cut with a pint pail cover. Glaze with milk and sift sugar on them before baking.
