Algona Mch 22nd/70 My Dear Little Wife We did have a day or two of Sunshine about the time I wrote you but it was of Short duration It has snowed & raised the D-l for several days just past, to day looks fair again the Snow is anywhere from one to 15 ft deep drifted badly, only one train over the Dubuque & Sioux City Road in 10 days, from what we can learn the Storm is general thruout the west how far east G-d only knows I have nothing new to relate, only our musical convention fizzled owing to inclemency of the weather. The Methodist Protractive meeting "busted too" really G-d must have been in "the Storm" there is one thing certain either G-d the D-l or the wind kicked the Snow about fearfully. Some times hauling lumber for me have been out ten days to Ft Dodge snow bound, everything is brot. to a Stand Still, no use trying to do anything until until it gets better weather again, It makes a man feel blue during such cussed weather time hangs very heavy on my hands "you bet" but I suppose any days will bring things around about right but goes mighty slow now. As ever your Hus J N Wilson hope to have somthing more interesting to write you before a great while
