Algora, Iowa, March 23 1875 Dear W.W W Morton has just this moment received your letter and read me a portion of it. You write as if you were forgotten. W.W says she has written you three times and John writes every week regular and sometimes twice I should judge by the letters I see addressed "Our home" I am glad you are ----- in health, I watch the Laws of Life expecting to see your name amongst the list of graduate "M.D. I postpone my sickness until you return, preferring water &.....Algora still remains West of the Mississippi, I have record but one marriage since you left, Addie Spauldey & Frank Manir "no deaths." town strictly temperate.
