Wed. 1. 15° Fair, S. brisk. - Office a while a.m. & from 2 p.m. very busy till 10 o'c. - Harriet took dinner with us again (after having mumps) & they made ice-cream Thurs. 2. 14° N.W. clearing, windy, cold day - Very busy; dinner at [Sliton?], c. in p.m. - Home evg. Fri. 3. 5°- N.W. clear. Fine winter day - 2° evg. Severe catarrh & eye-ache after 3 P.M. - Staid home evg. & took sweat-bath & quinine. Sat. 4. 0. SW wind, fair. Dreadful chilly wind. C. in am & PM ch. PM.
