January, 1902. Sun. 19. 10° S. breeze, Fair & frosty, beautiful morn. Charlotte not [out?] Ar church morn & evg. - In office P.M. reading "A Lily of France" Mon. 20. 29° S.E. snow-storm. Snowed all day; about 6 in. - Charlotte at of-fice A.M. & P.M. & took dinner with me at Wilkinson's. Office Evg. till 10 o'c. & set-tled with church treasurer. Tues. 21. 28° cloudy, N.W. [qhte?] & 35° noon. Sledding not very good, [dirr?][illegible] up. - Clary at office again. A.M. & P.M. - I at off. office Evg. Wed. 22. 25 about. overcast foggy like, & very chill; s.w. breeze. Trees snow-laden. All hands hat M.W.A. banquet, supper; & Charlotte at Prayer Meeting after. - Lost front door key in the snow, & found it next morning. Thurs. 23. 22° S.W. frosty cloudiness. Cleared off. Busy [abstraveling?]. - Evg. a whiter Clara in 5 1/2 hrs. Fri. 24. 2° clear. N.W. [qtte?]. - 20 at noon. 1° at 10:30 Evg. - Dewight Sherman came in after supper with cutter & took [Ch?] & me out home for a rider visit. - Very bright moonlight - Sat. 25. 7° Cloudy, N.E. gtte. 20° noon. Began snowing 5 P.M. [all?] Evg. S.E. Very busy. - C. in P.M. - office a while Evg. 107
