March, 1902. Sun. 16. 4° Furious blizzard all day; but little snow; wind but little N. of W. Chimney tried to burn out. a.m. - At church twice; the rest all at home Evg. Mon. 17. 6° - Fair N.W. not quite so strong. Roads terribly rough. - Busy. C. & I at supper Dr. Johnson's, 37th birth-day tomorrow. Left eye-ache seven P.M. Evg. & all night. Tues. 18. 6° to nearly clear, s. gtte. Moderating C. in P.M. - Eyes any tired. - At home evg - arm getting sore. - Windy days. All the other out Evg. to the Tennesseeans. Wed. 19. 22° fair s. strong. windy Cloudy day. Rather quiet. Arm getting tender. At home evg. Thurs. 20. 34° cloudy. S.E. windy. Snowed fast from 12 un till 4 o'c. - some 3 or 4 in. - All at nite soc. - C. in P.M. - office a while Evg. sup at Wilkensen's. - Arm pretty lame. Fri. 21. 33° Cloudy, Northerly, mild, gtte. Misty P.M. - Roast duck for dinner from Phil. T. [Facgne?] - sup at Wilkenson's. Head-ache, right eye chiefly, P.M. - Office awhile Evg. Sat. 22. 35° Cloudy N.E. gtte. Cleared. very pleasant P.M. - snow all gone again. - C. in P.M. - Office awhile Evg. Arm much better.
