June, 1902. Sun. 8. Beautiful day, tho' quite cool morn. N.W. breeze. - Church over-crowded morn & also at childrens Day exercises 4 P.M. - [Baccalauriate?] by Rev. [Vannier?] at M.E. church evg. (C. & I said home; she sick.) Mon. 9. Bright cool morn, S.W. wind. Fair but cold windy. N.W. evg, & threatening. Re-planted corn, morn. Mowed outside, evg. Tues. 10. Bright morn., N.W. - Heavy wind in night breaking off branches. Cloudy P.M. & threatening; rained late evg At C.M. Powell birth-day surprise, evg. - Pvt. Lens of far glasses broken out. Wed. 11. Rained in night; fog morn. Fair day, but threatening, evg. - Prevented from going to M.W.A. picnic Postville, by severe external piles, - operation by Dr. Bowen. Thurs. 12. Heavy rain & thunder in night. Cloudy & suffocating day. - Rainy by quiet all P.M. - All at Pyz.& Galatia by class of '02, evg; but I came home early. Fri. 13. Cloudy & warm, S.E. breeze. Rained all afternoon & evg. - All at Grad-uating class exercises evg. Harriet had response from Juniors to grads. Sat. 14. Rainy morn. 65° s.e. Clearing P.M. Very warm - county convention. C.H. rats took strawberry supper at I.F. Pitt's.
