July 1902. 
Sun. 6. Heavy rain in night & light shower P.M.; cooler. Threatening again. At ch. morn & evg.
Mon. 7. Heavy rain in night again. Fair day; fine evg - office quiet. Mowed evg. (S.W.)[illegible] Warm, 78º.
Tues. 8. Bright morn.; clouded. Cleaned vault - up at 5. Sultry P.M. with gentle rain, but lots of it. Used scythe for a while evg. & picked peas. 
Wed. 9. Dark & very wet morn. A little rain, but cooler & fairing P.M. with N.W. breeze. Weeding morn. Mowed outside picked string beans. Now down after supper. Eye-ache, left eye. 
Thurs. 10. Bright cool morn, N.W. [illegible] Fine day, fair, but cool. Busy P.M. mowing. Not feeling well. 
Fri. 11. Fair morn, cold night, quite cool. Ditto all day. - Had an attack of indigestion. Did no work about home . I [illegible] a little hoeing morn. Dry very nice new potatoes.
Sat. 12. Cool night. Beautiful clear morn. Very fine day. 80º P.M. - Busy, and feeling better. - Mowed evg E.&N. & at office an hour.
