November, 1902.
Sun. 16. 30º Cloudy & cool. N.E. Took a day of rest & did not go out evg. - church mom as usual.
Mon. 17. 26º Cloudy, S.E. chilly & damp. - Put in celery. Charlotte about sick with a cold. - Clara began 5 mos term of school at Mand.
Tues. 18. 33º Clouding, frosty & S.W. Chilly wing, damp; muddy. Very busy - C. in P.M. & [illegible] fixing up about home for snow. Office evg. 
Wed. 5. Cloudy 40º morn. N.W. - Fair day. Busy. My majority 582. - Dispatch evg. that William is dead at Pierre. Busy late evg. telegraphing etc. 
Thurs. 6. Fair & mild. Very busy day. - Went to cemetery &c. Worked evg.  Schroda covered [illegible] & Roses. 
Fri. 7. Fair. 24º morn. Cold S. wind all day. - Very busy day & got very tired. Worked evg. - Paper-hanger hero Dean & Buggy. 
Sat. 8. Fairish day, cold S. wind Morn Warm P.M. Brother Williams body failed to to arrive this a.m., but came on evg. train & took to Greenleaf's undertaking.
