Garden till 8, & 1 1/2 hr. p.m. - Planted [underlined] more Golden Bantam corn [triple underlined]. Busy abstg. Ins. Evening. Wed. 8 Cloudy & still, 82. Garden planted [underlined] a few common potatoes [underlined] & Green Mtn. Ins. & Abst. - Evg., also Clara came [both underlined] on A.M. train Thurs. 9 Mostly cloudy, & warm. Sprinkles & threatening. Abt. 9 to 9. Girls & I at church supper. Nice big [mass?] Iowa Challenge Peas. [underlined] Fri. 10 Rainy day: but quiet about it. Busy abst. 10:30 evg. Folks picking a bo of cherries a day, about. Sat. 11 Fair & warm, 85°. Busy abstg. evg. also.
