October, 1921 Sun. 2 Early Shower. Fair & cool 45 to 65. C. & I at church. 4 deacons & pastor met home p.m. - Roten, Gibbs, Sherman, Hammanberg, & Cameron. Mon. 3 N.W. Fair, 34 to 54° Light frost [both underlined] No visible frost here. Record search & Ins & var. Ins. Evg. - Got 1/2 ton coal. Tues. 4 Sharp frost; (1st) Fair, 58° N.W. Work light; a/cs, & Ins. Evg. 39 [underlined] Evg. Wed. 5 40° to 70°: Fair. S.W. At dentist's an hour work & day broken up. Funeral Emma Hall 12:30 & Legion doings on [st?] A.M. Thurs. 6 Fair & warm morn,; Rain & colder p.m. Snow in air. At fuel morn. Abst. P.M. Home Evg. Fri. 7 35 fair; 45°, snow flurries p.m. About hen house morn. Abst. mostly, Home evg. Sat. 8 30° at 7, fair [cooling?], S. wind, 48° max & Evg. Got coal 1/4 at office & started up. At office about all day but did little work. Evg. writing. E.W.G. not in all day (Decorah)
