D January, TUESDAY, 19, 1864 arose about day light has snowed about 4 or 5 in last nite still snowing cleaned wheat & barley & picked wool of sheep after noon cleared of this eve moon shining ret about 9 oC James [Aladorfs, Alla?] WEDNESDAY, 20. a&'r&'e a little after day light done up [chores?] & finished cleaning wheat, got some to put away yet, snowed a little this morn. cloudy to nite & still looks like snow meet, still going on at Louisville ret about 8 THURSDAY, 21. a&'r&'e at 4 fed finished puting away wheat started to Utica at 1/2 past 10 bought lines &c at lampsons went to [Vanolswoes?] seen sheep & racks, came to granmas fed more stoped at home got letter from Hiram ret at 9 pleasant
