January, THURSDAY, 28, 1864. arose befor day light fed cached chickens helped Philip at hay ladders made sheep rack & shed put Werthers back of crib Uncle went to the Koontzes a warm day looks like rain ret about 9 FRIDAY, 29. arose after day light fed got chickens out coop for Koontz. [Wele?] went to [straps?] choped wood & made 2 sheep troughes. Ad. Nanatter called to see Uncle a pleasant day ret 1/2 past 8 they met in L. to raise money to hire volentiers SATURDAY, 30. arose about day light fed H. Gorden & J Marten came as we ate breakfast made sheep trough & rack went home in eve got home at dark packed a little helped get in [?] & saw a little ret 1/2 past 12 rained a little
