January, SUNDAY, 31, 1864. arose about 7 looked at stalk went to Rebbs Jonah & Mary came over with me talked & read came to uncles in eve. P. smarts at our house. got litter from [MJ Faris?] week ret early plesant February MONDAY, 1. arose a little after day light fed took up lower end of pipe & fixed it old [ub stew?] and came to [aid?] uncle meeting going up at the chapel. rained last nite morn more cool. eve cloudy to night ret after 9 TUESDAY, 2. arose after day light Uncle made fire. fed. Uncle went to Newark, I mad 4 sheep troughs fed early & went to Uncle Ely&'s Jonah & Mary there had a plesant time. rained & snowed a little to nite ret about 12 [sun shone this morn?]
