March, Thursday, 10, 1864. arose at daylight sawed till breakfast came to uncles got here at 9 fed tramped oats this is draft day a rainy morn, cloudy day read Bible and talked on it. ret about 9 FRIDAY, 11. arose 1/2 past 6 fed tramped oats & cleaned up 32 bu. for seed this morn rained last nite & showery to day, spelling at school house to nite. I have the headache, ret 1/4 after 8 SATURDAY, 12. arose about day light fed brot chaf from mill hung up [?] straw & fed while uncle went to [?] for papers a cloudy day ret at 9
