April, SATURDAY, 30 1864 arose about sun rise Booked, went to town had head ache done but little buis, stoped at uncle Joes settled a cloudy cool day with rain ret about 10 May SUNDAY, 1. arose about sun rise curryed colt went to sabath school & Church Ball Preached from you are the light of the world &c Mr Jones at night. they deserve a better country in Heavenly ret at 10 MONDAY, 2. arose about 6 got ready Went to Utica a rainey morn Came to newark on the 11 0 clock train stayed all night at [Moull's?] more plesant after noon ret at 11
