July, SUNDAY, 17, 1864. relieved at 9 Came to Camp read, slept &c, hot, preaching at evening by mr , Chaplain, inspection after noon MONDAY, 18. up about 4 got provisions from quartermaster. drill layed bout Camp &c, Warm. member of co D. drownded. nothing of importance going on TUESDAY, 19. up at roll call, drill lazed about Camp boys got back from Baltimore I helped carry drownded man from river to burrieing place Warm detailed at eve. to load munition
