August, SUNDAY, 28, 1864. get to Columbus before day light march a little way & layed down. get up & take a good wash eat B. march to Camp chase pich tents lay round rest of day warm MONDAY, 29. up at roll call. turn over guns & lay about camp hear of Annas sickness. go to Col, in Bus stay at soldiers home. warm get letter from Hiram TUESDAY, 30. up after 2 take 4 oclock train get to Newark about 6 Walk to Uncles get there about 9 go up with him in buggy have a nice time Anna a good eal better Warm
