Literary Newsette Burton Jay Smith, Co-Editor Post Marked 12/14/42 No. 23 Mon. am. Dearest, Uncle John is still in the hospital. He put in a very bad day, yesterday. The doctor says it look to him, now, that the cancer is spreading very rapidly. He doesn't suffer any; just seems to be sleepy and weak. I am afraid we are going to have a funeral at our house this Christmas.
