Oct 16th 1871 Mr J.B. McDill Dear friend I have been expecting to hear from you ever since I came home but have not heard yet. I understand that you are dissatisfied in regard to that security bond. Mr McDill, I told you when I was down how the thing stood & I would not have you run any risk for the world & will not ask it further. You will be released from you bond in a short time & I will get another person on the bond. I will fix the necessary papers & Johnny will return the bond to you so that you may know that you are released. You may give any papers such as
