Ther. Thursday Jan. 19, 1888 Wea. As cold, but pleasant still. Much same with our folks & busy as usual. Mrs. Gnott was in to sit awhile with Rosa P.M. & tho't saw Mrs. Post here also. As well self spending day in chamber at knitting &c & in P.M. added more to letter to Ellery. Ther. Friday 20 Wea. Mercury 21[degrees] this morn. & 10 [degrees] noon. Rather pleasant, but less sunshine. Our folks about same & busy as ever tho' Rosa was out with boys last part P.M. Quite as well self, spending day much same, tho' more of it in d- room than past few days.
