Ther. Wednesday, Feb 8, 1888 Wea. Mercury 22° below this morn, but bright & pleasant again. As well with our folks & at usual labors, & Rosa at extra cooking for supper this eve, for benefit M. E. Minister Crouch, & at Keall awhile P.M. helping make preparations for same. She & boys, spending eve there. Geo also to take supper with others, all home late. As well self, spending day much same, & writing Aunt [illegible]. Ther. Thursday, Feb 9, 1888 Wea. Mer_30° below this morn, but quite "pleasant day" considering. Our folks started late this morning, but all seem as well, & of course at usual duties, Rosa at Keall to help awhile also this a.m. spending p.m. at home & think without even any callers. Quite as well self, & sunshine making chamber comfortable. Was spending day there much as usual, & evening in d_room.
