Sunday, Sept. 9, 1888 Warmer, Mercury 82° P.M. & quite pleasant. All up in good season, others appear as well, but Ellery tho't he was hardly well as usual, but was at service A.M. & at s-school, as was Charlotte also with Clara & Karrie, remaining at home P.M. & eve. Tho' of course little girls were "out for air" & over at new house awhile P.M. Tho't self as well, & at rest, with "reading" mostly in "Crusade of the Excelsior". Monday 10 Cooler this A.M. after some rain in morn - with quite thunder shower last of night, Mercury 78° P.M. & pleasant; Our folks all on hand in good season for usua duties, & guess spending day much as usual, tho' know Charlotte was down town awhile P.M. Ellery took lunch at store as of late, & home to early supper. As well self, & with usual chores at good jobs repairing to occupy time with some reading, little amusement from girls in eve. Clara 5 years today.
