Friday, Nov. 2, 1888 Much cooler, only 48° P.M. strong wind from N.W. some rain in night, cloudy A.M. with more sunshine P.M. All appear as well with our folks & busy as ever at usual duties. Ellery taking his dinner with him at store today, having warm supper at home at about usual time, of course Charlotte talks but little. About same self tho did realize sort of confusion last P.M. but not to trouble others. At repairing & knitting. Saturday 3 About 60° this P.M., & one of pleasantest days tho' somewhat breezy. Much same with our folks, & quite as busy. Ellery at home all A.M. at odd jobs, putting down carpet in bedroom being chief one quess, with extra work for Charlotte of course, Mrs Wedgwood in P.M. awhile. Quite as well self & spending day much as usual, finishing good job repairing at last, for (sewing?), with plenty knitting for self.
