Thursday, Nov. 22, 1888 Mercury at 40° again today, & very pleasant after quite a frosty morn. All appear as well with our folks & occupied much as usual, think girls improving opportunity for play about in yard part of time of course. After good nights rest as well certain self, tho' no "extra strength" spending day in chamber much as usual. Commencing 2d sleeve for vest for "knitting" eve. Friday 23 Mercury 45° this P.M. & weather remains much same. All about as usual with our folk, & guess spending day much same, or perhaps Ellery taking more time for cutting wood at house than sometimes, but taking "lunch at store" as usual. As well self, & with usual chores spending day much same with some rest & reading, trying some new knitting rules for change once more.
