Friday, Dec. 14, 1888 Mercury 34°+ this P.M. & rather pleasant tho out day. All about same with our folks & busy as ever at usual duties. Charlotte having some extra of ironing. Much same self, & spending day much same, with perhaps some extra looking over & planning for use of pieces, over for water & to sit with Mrs Wedgewood few minutes P.M. Saturday 15 Mercury 44°+ this P.M. clouded over with dampness in air all day, with few light showers. Funeral services of Mrs Hersey this A.M. at B- church, neither of our folks attended. Ellery at his place of business as usual, receiving more goods this eve. Charlotte no lack of work to occupy her time, & little girls pinned to house of course. As well self, occupied much as usual with little ironing for extra work.
