1st Jan 1889 Waukon Ia Rec'd Household for Jan Jan 17th Thursday/89 mer 12°+ morn, only 19° P.M. but very pleasant, tho' windy. As well with our folks & spending day much as usual, tho' El home to dinner & supper both As well self & spending day at home as usual except an hour or so PM, was in with Kate Pratt, Estelle happened to be out. De Soto 1888 [illegible] 3d Household for Jan from Wauken with Diary, from Ellery. 9th From Aunt Jema Reed letter of 5th, apply to mine 27th [illegible] 17th From Bro Ellery letter of 13th [illegible] to mine of Nov last 20th sent reply to same
