Tuesday January 7 Very mild once more, some snow falling in morn, Mer 11°+ at sunrise, standing at 26°+ most of P.M. I passed the day much the same as the past few week days have been, but my cold is leaving slowly, tho had coughing spell this morning. Geo- bro't my letter from Charlotte when he came to tea, he & Rose spent eve at home. January 8 Though not seeming much colder find Mer 6°- at sunrise & only 5°+ during the day. Feeling pretty well self, except from cold, which am little better of each day, all rest- well as usual, only see Ellery as he comes to his meals. All (illegible) as usual, except that Estelle came in P.M. & will spend the night with me. Rose & Geo out to meeting.
