January 29 Wednesday Mrs. Penfield bro't (illegible) Still mild, mer 18°+ at sunrise, rose to 38°+ & standing at 33°+ at sunset. Snow leaving fast, tho' not as much sunshine today but not very cloudy. All as usual with us, I sat down in AM to write to "Aunt Angelina" tho' not finishing til in PM. Was in to see Rose few minutes after dinner, & she was in here awhile before tea time. I went with George & her to meeting. January 30 Weather remains about same, & all going on about as usual with us. Of course, finding little things here & there to take up time. Leona melting snow while there is little left for washing. Of course I was in to see Rose once during the day. Mrs. [Dowe?] sent invite for me come & sit with them in eve, which I did. E_ at "work"
