Had company in [illegible] Clouds & cold this morn. Mer only 13 (degree symbol) + at sunrise, rose to 28 (degree symbol) + & stoof at 25 (degree symbol) + at sunset, little snow in air for a while in PM but cleared away, bright & pleasant again this eve. All passed as usual with us. [Name?] spent all AM cooking her brother took dinner with her. I went in to [illegible...] on errand in AM & took my mending to sit awhile with Rose while [name?] was out. I spent eve in L room [illegible]. Pleasant but quite cool & breeze. I kept busy about house at odd jobs all AM as [Lenna?] was doing sweeping & extra cooking. Expecting to go on a [illegible] tomorrow. I went with Rose to see Mrs [name?] in [illegible] to church in eve, where I met estelle, she coming home with me to stay while Leena is away.
