February 24 Monday Not as cold, mer standing 33°+ most of PM Ellery's cold some better about as usual self. spent the day much as usual, or first of it. Lena at [illegible] Earle's most of P.M. doing cooking with Emile for a surprise party tomorrow eve. & I spend part of that time with Rose, She & Geo spent with us, Ellery not going out after tea, for a [illegible]. cloudy all day, misting some in P.M. & eve February 25 Cloudy most of day, tho mer stayed 20°+ at 7 1/2 o.c. only rose 23° during day, Lena out of errands in AM (not having much to do at home) & I was in to see Rose, we thot of returning out to spend PM with Mrs Pratt & Estelle & Mr P called of errand & told us to "come," which we did as Geo coming to supper & [illegible] which enjoyed much tho came home in blustering snow storm
