ing little better, but eyes are (illegible). Lena & I spent eve alone. March 1 Saturday Colder, Mer only 11+ at 7 1/2 o,c, & 22+ 2 o,c, P.M. but 18+ at sun-set. Cloudy, with quite a breeze from the north, all about as usual, except Ellery, who made for long a night of it & rose with bad head-ache, but enough better of it so he spent eve at Dr (Illegible) I expect. Lena & I did usual cleaning res of L-room in A.M. & went in to see Rose after dinner. She let me help (?) little she is (?). March 2 Pleasant & mild all as usual with us. Rose not able to attend church, of course. Ellery & I attended Baptist in morning. I spent part P.M. writing to (illegible A-, E- at office but out to church in eve, Lena wanted to be out awhile also (being beautiful eve) & I spent that time with Rose. Tho' Geo- was home early.
