E- spent last eve elsewhere) March 7 Friday Cloudy, with high wind from S-E- Mer 39+ at 7.30 o,c, 44+ at 12 o,c, rose to 46+ in P.M. & stood 41+ at sunset, Lena found (?) to iron some in A.M. more in P.M. I was in to see Mrs Howe for advice gone an hour or so, of course spent rest A.M. at little jobs here & there doing some repairing in P.M. but in at Rose's an hour or so she came here in eve, first time out for a week. Geo- at drill but in after & we played "Noted People & Places". March 8 Mild with light clouds, Mer 40's at 7 1/2 o,c, 58+ at noon. 64+ at 2 o,c, P.M. & 58+ at sun-set. The day passed much as usual, I had some extra in helping to clean up in L-room, also cut apples for sauce & pies to give Lena time to finish ironing. I went over to see Rose little while at dusk - while Lena was out. Ellery home early & over there & sat quite awhile conversing
