April 26 Saturday Pleasant & quite warm, tho' quite breezy. Aside from doing cooking making lemon pies, & bread, & roast veal for dinner Lena took up carpet in and cleaned her room, Of course I helped some but she did most of it alone, & had all to rights before tea time I found some thing to keep me busy all AM & most of PM April 27 Cooler, Mer only rising to 56°+ cloudy most of day & quite strong wind from NW. I went to M_E_ church with Geo & Rose in AM, Ellery at Baptist. I spent part of PM & most of eve writing Charlotte, I was in at Geo's of errand after tea & he was in here few minutes, Ellery spent eve at home, only service at AP church, being "Union Temperance"
