July 19 Saturday Weather same, except getting warmer, Mer not quite reaching 90°+ tho. All about as usual with us thro' the day, D Lena cooking some & gave b-room & s-room thorough sweeping for which & after I had picking up & putting to nights to do which with other jobs kept me busy all A.M. did little mending & over to sit with Rose awhile PM spent eve with Maz Stewart, Stewart & Ellery out very late as [actors?] July 20 Pleasant & very warm. I went with Ellery to Baptist church in A.M. I spent P.M. at home, as usual didn't feel smart enough to write to "Aunts," Leann Charlotte, came home yesterday P.M. to stop with Mrs. Eldrdige (who is quite low, has young baby.) but didn't see her at church.
