While I was at Rose's after tea Charlotte called & we went for walk. Saturday August 2 Pleasant, All about as usual here & Mrs Howe's where I'm still making it "my home", my cold still remains about same. Tho' my head doesn't pain me much today I come over home after breakfast to see if could do anything for Ellery find him little better, so went to office middle A.M. I kept busy till noon & after dinner I came back, Lennie (illegible) helping put spring-bed in E_s room. August 3 Unpleasant morning by spells most of day. Ellery & I spent the day at home, I breakfasted at Mrs Howes, Ellery feeling better but not well, we took dinner at home, Geo_ having bro't in bread for Ellery yesterday.
