Monday August 4 Still with Mrs Howe pleasantly making it my home till went over to see Rose awhile in P.M. Estelle came down in P.M. to stop awhile also, & after taking supper with Rose I went home with her again to finish my visit, find Mrs Pratt feeling better tho' of course her eyes trouble her still, & Katie much better so she gets about well, without crutches. August 5 All passing along pleasantly as usual here at Mrs Pratts, & of course I'm taking it easy doing little as possible, having Birdie with me & didn't go down to house at all, (illegible) Ellery to take good care of all.
