September 1 Monday Pleasant, & cooler, Mer not reaching quite 80°+. Having no extra work to do, Lena & I together put up 6 qts C-apples 4 qts sweetened 1 to 2, the other jar "preserves" lb for lb, I cut few of apples after dinner, when we put up last jar (canned). In A.M. I went into Mrs H_'s of errand of couple times into see Rose, I down to Mrs Spauldings was in of errand in A.M. Estelle in also in P.M. September 2 Tuesday Weather remains about same looking little as if might rain, (which our neighbors need) & is very dusty) but non fell, so our washing had chance to dry. I did up some of chores in kitchen, but Lena had washing out of way so as to clean up & get dinner. Mrs Howe in of errand & guess I was in there. Millie Wedgewood came to spend night with me, but we went with Rose down to (?) to shop.
