Friday October 3 Pleasant again, with cooler clearer air, Mer only 75°+ in P.M. I had faint spell early this morn probably because Charlotte was with me, leaving some headache in A.M. but feeling better in P.M. so kept busy at little jobs, found Mrs. Howe little better, & when in again in eve found she had been sitting up most of P.M. Estelle took tea with us & we spent eve with Rosanna. October 4 Weather about same, all about as usual with us, Of course had little extra work, cleaning & picking up for & after Lena's sweeping front rooms, & some repairing as usual, over to see Rose few minutes in A.M. also to see Mrs Howe first of P.M. & find her better tho' quite weak yet & coughs some still. Lewis had his head hurt, & bro't home. Estelle down, & we were in to see Rose awhile.
