Sunday October 5 Pleasant & quite warm again. Mer 85°+ most of P.M. I tho't to go to church, once more, but upon hearing after breakfast of a little stranger having arrived at George's & Rose's, changed my mind, but went to see Mrs Howe & tell her the glad tidings before going over to welcome the little Nephew, & find all doing well. In P.M. Ellery (?) were out driving went town to the cemetery, then drove out to W_Waukon. October 6 Much such a day as yesterday little more breezy, Mer- same. Lena had washing out of way & cleaning up done in A.M. I did up chores after breakfast aside from my usual work, in chambers &c. Went over to see Rose & baby last of A.M. & again after tea, find them doing well. Estelle came down with bouquet in P.M. part of which I took to Rose. Also in to see Mrs H_ but had caller
