Thunder shower & terribly black sky (moonlight) Monday October 27 Then came out bright after awhile in morning, & tho' quite breezey we commenced cleaning out sitting room, & took up carpet to have stove pipe taken down when Ellery cold come which he did about 10 o,c, Also cleaned s-pipe & chimney in K_, I went to Mrs Howes for an hour or so to get away from dirt & cole, tho' not as cold, couldn't get pipe to put up in S-room again, had showers in P.M. & after rainbow, had October 28 Bright & clear, but very windy. I had slight unconscious spell in morn, but so helped self to water. I went in A.M to Charlotte's "Office" & she went with me to Mrs Conner's to have my new winter sack filled & of other errands, Lena cleaning buttery & cupboard in A.M. & out after doing up chores in P.M. I was over to see Rose & baby, had a caller while I was (rest of page illegible)
